1. Payment Terms and Other Associated Costs

2. Informed Consent for Examination and Treatment
Every new patient is required to fulfill a confidential registration and medical history form: Consent to Consultation and Examination before any examination and treatment is performed. The form is sent to new patients via an email. New Patients are advised to fill it in prior to their first visit and bring it with them on the day of their appointment. If the patient is unable to do so, we advise patients to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to complete the form.
3. Appointment rescheduling and cancellations
Whether a patient wishes to reschedule or cancel their appointment, they should notify the clinic 24 hours before their appointment. Otherwise a fee of £20 may be charged.
4. Refunds
In the unlikely event that you need to discontinue your care and you have prepaid for a course of care, the remaining credit will be refunded via the following formula; number of visits received times full adjustment fee (£40) subtracted from the total amount paid. All refunds will be made via a bank transfer. Please allow 10 working days for reimbursement from time of receipt of bank details.
5. If you are going to be late for your appointment
The patient should ensure BPC is aware as early as possible if the patient will be late for their appointment. If the patient fails to tell us in advance within the working hours of the clinic, we may not be able to see the patient on the same day of the appointment. BPC always aims to accommodate patients at their convenience; however we cannot guarantee the time slot will be still available. 6. Email and SMS appointment reminders
We send a text message or email reminder to our patients based on their contact preferences. Normally we will text message patients with appointments before 11am the day before their appointment; patients with appointments after 11am will receive a text message reminder on the same day of their appointment.
7. Problems or urgent queries
In the case of problems or urgent queries, please call us on: 0207 247 8585 or send us an email on: info@thecitybpc.com. We will respond as soon as we can within our working time.
8. Treatment plan time frame
Treatment time frame is suggested not definite. During your visit we will discuss with you treatment plan and duration.
9. Complaints
In the unlikely event of complaints, please refer back to your welcome letter with our complaints procedure.
10. Health Insurance
The Back Pain Centre accepts various insurance providers. It is the patient responsibility to pay the clinic first. We assist patients with relevant documentation if necessary. For further details, please contact us on: 0207 247 8585
12. Dress Policy
Patients can wear their normal clothes. Patients may want to bring gym clothes to change into.
